Dr. David Mark, M.D.
Dr. Mark attended Stanford University and completed degrees in biology and music. He received his medical degree from the Stanford University School of Medicine and completed his internship at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center in San Jose. Following his ophthalmology training at Stanford University, he joined the teaching faculty at Stanford. He completed a two-year fellowship in corneal disease and surgery at Harvard. He also worked as a research associate at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and the Eye Research Institute in Boston. His special interest areas are corneal diseases, laser vision correction, and cataract surgery. Dr. Mark is married and has two daughters and a son. His outside interests include music, tennis, and softball.
Dr. Moshe Mendelson, OD
Dr. Mendelson, a board certified optometrist, received his Doctorate at the University of California in Berkeley in 1990. He was trained at the Oak Knoll Naval Hospital in Oakland, Pacific Presbyterian Medical Center in San Francisco, and at the Veteran's Administration at Stanford. He specializes in the fitting of contact lenses, post surgical, keratoconus, and multi-focal. He also provides ergonomic consulting services for computer users. Dr. Mendelson works with local schools to provide eye care to underprivileged children. He is married with three children and enjoys ocean kayaking.
Dr. Alexander Lee, M.D.
Dr. Alexander Lee is a board certified ophthalmologist with fellowships in glaucoma and refractive surgery. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of California at Berkeley, and his medical degree at the University of California at San Diego School of Medicine. He went on to receive his internship and residency training at the Medical College of Wisconsin. After his residency, he went on to complete a fellowship in Glaucoma at the University of California at San Diego with Dr. Robert Weinreb, a
world-renowned glaucoma specialist. Dr. Lee then served as the Director of Glaucoma Services at Kaiser Permanente in Sacramento. Because of his additional interests in refractive corneal and refractive cataract surgery, he completed an additional fellowship in refractive surgery. Dr. Lee is an active clinician and surgeon. He specializes in the diagnoses and management of glaucoma, cataract surgery, and laser vision correction. Dr. Lee has published many peer-reviewed papers and presented at numerous national
meetings. Dr. Lee speaks mandarin. He enjoys playing tennis, loves to travel and listens to classical music.
Dr. Athena Reyes, OD
Dr. Reyes received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Biological Sciences and English from the University of California, Santa Barbara in 2003. She continued on at the University of California, Berkeley to earn her Doctor of Optometry degree in 2007. She completed challenging internships at the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Miami, FL, as well as the Livermore Veterans Affairs hospital in Livermore, CA, and the Palo Alto Veterans Affairs Health Care services and the Western Blind Rehabilitation center in Palo Alto, CA. Dr. Reyes was recognized in 2007 by Beta Sigma Kappa International Optometric Honor Society for four consecutive years of academic excellence while in school. She was also awarded the Garoni Scholarship by the Alameda-Contra Costa Optometric Society in 2006, in which she was recognized for excellence in community service outside of the profession in the San Francisco Bay area. Dr. Reyes is a member of the California Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association. Dr. Reyes is Paragon CRT certified and holds licenses as follows: National Board of Examiners in Optometry, Treatment and Management of Ocular Disease, 2006; Patient Care 2007, California State Board of Optometry, Therapeutic Drug 2007.
Dr. Helen Lee, O.D.
- Dr. Helen Lee received her Doctor of Optometry degree from Pacific University, Forest Grove, Oregon in 2006.
- Civil Engineering Degree in 2001 from the University of Alberta in Edmonton, Alberta Canada.
- Her internships included training at the Veteran’s Administration Hospital in Fresno CA, Edmonds Hutz and Pemberton Eye Center in Tucson AZ, Portland Vision Center in Portland OR and Washington School for the Blind in Vancouver, WA.
- Dr. Lee was involved in the FDA clinical trials for the investigation of Menicon Z Corneal refractive therapy (CRT) lenses. She is a certified fitter of CRT lenses and is a member of the American Academy of Orthokeratology.
- She has been acknowledged by the Beta Sigma Kappa International Optometric Honor Society as a member throughout her graduate studies and currently maintains an active membership within the Santa Clara County Optometric Society, California Optometric Association and American Optometric Association. Dr. Lee has worked with local charitable organizations such as homeless shelters, foster homes, lions clubs and schools to provide eye care services to hundreds of foster children, underprivileged families in the community and victims of domestic violence.
- On her days off, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, dining out and playing golf.
